Club History

The Twin Stars Football Club were formed in 2005 and compete in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Part of the U.S. Soccer pyramid, the NPSL is classified as a Division IV league (behind MLS, NASL, USL) The NPSL features some of the top U-23 players from around the nation as well as seasoned players. The other Division IV league in U.S. Soccer is the USL PDL.


From 2005-2010, the club was know as the St. Paul TwinStars as the majority of their matches were played at James Griffin Stadium at St. Paul Central High School (2005-06) and then Macalester Stadium (2007-10) in St. Paul. The club moved their home base to Augsburg College in Minneapolis in 2011 and were re-named the Minnesota TwinStars FC. Since 2012, the team calls the pitch at Prairie Seeds Academy in Brooklyn Park their home.
