Minnesota Dominates Tardy Eau Claire

In a match that was delayed 40 minutes by a late-arriving Eau Claire Aris, the TwinStars FC had no trouble staying warm and ready to play. Temperature at kickoff was 91-degrees and Minnesota made Aris FC suffer more than just the heat.

Minnesota scored early and often and the result was never in doubt. Derek Olemann (20') got the TwinStars FC on the scoreboard first. Just six minutes later Keido Pour scored for a 2-0 lead.

A defensive lapse allowed Eau Claire to get to 2-1 in the 33rd minute. That would be the last time Aris FC would get within a goal as a PK was awarded in the 40' which was converted by TwinStars FC striker Zee Tamba. Olemann scored his second of the match just before the halftime whistle to make it 4-1.

Eau Claire scored just 4 minutes into the second half, only to see Whitney Browne (56') give Minnesota a 3-goal cushion minutes later.

Following a yellow card to Minnesota goaltender Erik Hundevad and Aris FC converted making it 5-3. Before this writer/tweeter could pick up his head from his cell phone, TwinStars scored another! Two late goals by Martin Browne (80', 86') made the final score TwinStars FC 8, Aris FC 3.
